Innocent Nwosu honored with Ibadan masquerade title

Chief Abimbola Alesulode, Olori Alagbaa of Ibadan has honoured Innocent Nwosu who hails from Obosi, Idemini Local Government Area of Anambra State with the title of Agbaakin Apinni-Oje of Alesulode Compound, Beere, Idi-Agba, in Ibadan South-East Local Government Area.
He was honoured for being a promoter of culture and tradition in Ibadan land. 
According to Chief Alesulode, Nwosu had been living in Ibadan for many years and had used his resources to promote the culture and tradition of Yoruba people, particularly the Egungun festival in Ibadan land.
He said: “Before Mr Nwosu was honoured with this title, he underwent some test. We asked questions that have to do with the title we gave him and he passed. In fact, he speaks Yoruba fluently along with Esa eegun. He is a great man.

“If every tribe can emulate Mr Nwosu, there won’t be Boko Haram and everywhere would be peaceful in this country.”

He commended the Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade I, and masquerade chieftaincy title holders in Ibadan land for selecting Nwosu, among others who were equally qualified for the title.

Dignitaries at the event included Olori Alagbaa of Ibadan land, Chief Ojetunde Asoleke; Iyalode Apinni-Oje of Ibadan land, Chief (Mrs) Shefinat Ojegbemi; Oluwo of Ibadan land, Chief Akeem Hammed and Iya Agan Ojefunke.
