Inferno at Ibadan Polytechnic, store torched

A fire outbreak at the Faculty of Financial Management Studies of The Polytechnic, Ibadan has led to the complete destruction of the faculty’s store. According to media report, the fire started from a heap of papers being burnt by the side of the store.

The fire, according to Nigerian Tribune started from some pieces of paper being burnt by the side of the store. The store, according to some students who spoke with the Saturday Tribune under condition of anonymity said the documents belonged to some students and completed research projects were destroyed.

The Public Relations Officer of the institution, Alhaji Soladoye Adewole, said “No one can authoritatively say this was the cause of the fire. I want to tell you that it was just a minor incident which has been put under control.”
