Oyo gets over N2 billion from CBN for SMEs

Oyo state and 35 others will each get N2 billion from the Central Bank of Nigeria. The funds are part of a N220 billion micro and macro development fund for Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (MSMEs) across the country.

 Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, said the initiative was considered necessary to enable federal government bridge the socio-economic gap existing in the country.

IBPulse.com exclusively gathered that Oyo state governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, was physically present to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that would bring about easy access and disbursement of the funds.
Other governors present are those of Akwa Ibom, Delta and Osun, while  governors of Bayelsa, Bornu, Gombe, Enugu, Zamfara, Ondo and Benue were represented.
