Here are pictures of a very dirty Ibadan at Christmas
Christmas is a period of joy, happiness, feasting, bright lights and colors. Families, communities, neighborhoods, cities, and governments often roll out measures to celebrate the period in grand style – even right here in Nigeria.
If you follow the news closely, you would have heard or read that the government of Imo state this year decided to celebrate Christmas in grand style by putting up the tallest Christmas tree in Africa in the state capital.
The streets of Lagos are also well lit at this period but in Ibadan the capital city of Oyo state, the reverse is the case as the city is very dirty as observed by several IBPulse readers who sent in pictures of dirtiness in various parts of the city during Christmas.
Pictures like these make me begin to wonder about who is profiting from the very dirty status of the city under the incumbent administration.
