EFCC officials have sealed off a palatial building belonging to Alhaja Kudirat Adekeke, the immediate head of service of Oyo state as part of investigations into allegations of corruption levied against several members of the Alao Akala-led administration.
The incident also generated an instantaneous reaction from Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Alhaji Azeez Arisekola-Alao and the Iyalode of Ibadanland, Alhaja Aminat Abiodun, who were said to have rushed to the house immediately the EFCC operatives left, to see things for themselves.
Alhaja Adeleke is a senior member of Iyalode-in-Council and daughter of a prominent late Islamic cleric in Ibadan.
Arisekola and Iyalode Abiodun were said to have been infuriated by the development and rained curses on whoever was behind Alhaja Adeleke’s ordeal.
Sources within the family of the former HOS, however, accused the state administration of victimizing Alhaji Adeleke for being a close ally of Alao-Akala.
A close aide to the former HOS, who would not want her name in print, however, told Daily Sun that she was outside the country and not hiding as being speculated in some quarters.
