Have you heard of Oyo state poster map?
“Which one is Oyo state poster map?” was what I asked myself when I read the aspect of BnL Pulse’s interview with Babajide Fagade, Director General/CEO of the Oyo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (OYSAA), where he mentioned the intended Oyo State Poster master plan.
According to him, the goal of the initiative is to create monumental canvasses in the state.
“With the Oyo State Poster master plan, we are going to create monumental canvasses within the environment of pace setter state,” he said.
He also predicted that the coverage and spread of the agency will be felt across the 33 local governments of Oyo State within the first quarter of 2016.
“Additionally, our planned effort of sanitising the environment to remove clutter and illegal billboards will obviously remain a continuous exercise but we are going to remain resolved to achieve our set objectives. The new identity we have created must provide a consistent experience of value creation within the state and we are beefing up personnel to meet the challenges,” he said.
According to him, the historical heritage of Oyo State affords so much opportunity for any progressive brand and advertiser to consider visibility within the state.
“The Senator Abiola Ajimobi-led government legacy programme is laudable enough to encourage more brands to become visible within the state and we are bringing this alive already in the Oyo State,” he said.
He said the vision of the agency is to be a pacesetter in the regulation and control of the practice of Outdoor Advertising and Signage as well as contribute to the internally generated revenue of Oyo State.
“Our mission is [to]modernise, standardise and regulate the landscape in a beneficial way to Oyo State, it citizens and visitors. We have set realistic projections that would add value to all stakeholders in Oyo State and visitors alike. Our value creation makes our projection a win-win for all and we are equally mindful as we build on it in the nearest future,” he said.
