Rev Gbenga Kotila, Senior Pastor, Center for Reality International Church and convener of Ignite, an annual gospel concert that holds in Ibadan, Nigeria, has told IBPulse.com that the aim of organising the annual event is to raise an army of change with a mindset of nation building.
Last year, more than 4,000 people gathered at the event that featured Bob-Fitts and several other gospel music ministers. This year’s edition will feature Bob-Fitts, Frank Edwards, Wale Adenuga and several others.
“Ignite serves as a platform to bring young generation together and impact them with right and quality values as well as assisting them in charting the right course of life, having a mentality of enforcing the kingdom of God with kingdom values,” Rev Kotila said.
The 2014 edition would hold this Friday October 10 at Jogor Center off Liberty Road, Ring Road, Ibadan. The event is expected to start at 4pm and would also feature Jim Cernero, the Worship Leader for Benny Hinn Ministries.
Rev Kotila said, “Our vision is to raise 30,000 future leaders who will be on the cutting edge in their generation, be ambassadors of God’s grace as well as becoming relevant in all spheres of life. We have a Mentoring group called Future Leaders Initiative, this spans across different campuses, especially in the South West for now, Ignite is a tool in which we bring these youths and other young adults together and impact them, stirring their hearts to making a change in the nation.”
“Ignite is a yearly concert to stir the heart of youths and upwardly mobile generation about purposeful living, integrity and becoming assets to their generation. It is focused on reformation of the lives of youths because they are the future of the nation. We are passionate about raising an army of change with a mindset of nation building and a breed without greed. It serves as a platform to bring young generation together and impact them with right and quality values as well as assisting them in charting the right course of life.”
