It came to public attention yesterday (Wednesday) that the rejuvenation of the Zoological Garden, University of Ibadan was brought about by a N45 million donation to the zoo by the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye.
The revelation was made at the commissioning ceremony of the zoological garden located with the premises of the University of Ibadan.
IBPulse had earlier reported the zoological garden is now wearing a new look. Furthermore, we have high quality pictures of animals at the zoo here.
The zoo was commissioned by the highly respected clergyman who came to the rescue of the zoological garden that has reportedly been in existence since 1948.
According to the management of the zoo, the facility became deserted about 5 years when certain animals were no longer at the zoo. But with the intervention of the fund provided by Pastor Adeboye, the standard of the zoological garden has been raised to international level and the facility can compete with others in any part of the world.
