President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday (Saturday) visited Ibadan for an undisclosed mission. The President arrived the city from Kano, where he had visited on Saturday morning.
The president was welcomed at the airport by numerous supporters of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) before boarding a helicopter at the airport.
“The President came down from a presidential jet and immediately entered a waiting chopper,” an onlooker said, adding that, “Jonathan entered the chopper in company of Jumoke Akinjide, who stormed the Ibadan airport with many PDP supporters.”
Dressed in a white flowing agbada and matching shoes,the president was greeted on arrival by Oyo State governor, Abiola Ajimobi, who was on hand to welcome the President at the airport.
While in the state, the president visited the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi where he held a private meeting with the prominent Yoruba ruler.
