Supreme Court dismisses Ladoja’s case, upholds Ajimobi’s reelection
Nigeria’s Supreme Court has dismissed the suit filed before it by Chief Rashidi Ladoja, candidate of the Accord Party, challenging the election of Governor Abiola Ajimobi in the last governorship elections held in the state.
The court has decided to validate the elections of Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi has the duly elected candidate having contested and won the election.
The court also upheld the election of Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa; and Yobe State Governor, Ibrahim Gaidam.
They were all taken to court over the outcome of the April 11, 2015 governorship elections. The court fixed February 15 to give reasons for its unanimous judgment in the election.
