Ibadan Peace Walk holds today

The much anticipated Ibadan Peace Walk tagged My Thumb My Power (MTMP) is expected to hold today Wednesday March 17.
In a statement made available to IBPulse, organizers said MTMP is a vision that was conceived like many movements that are making impact.
“It was nurtured and brought to life by the committed brainstorming of seven young, vibrant and purposeful minds that do not just want a better nation but are ready to be part of the success story,” organizers stated.
Organizers said the movement is in no way affiliated with any political party nor interest but strongly fueled by the passion of well-meaning youths for the purpose of sensitizing the populace, encouraging the weary and building hope of a better tomorrow in a peaceful today. Hence, the need to ensure people use their power and exercise their civic responsibility in and with peace.
“We believe the Ibadan industry is filled with exceptional people and lending our voices and strength to the “NO ELECTION VIOLENCE CAMPAIGN” will place us in the circle of organized communities with impact,” they stated.
The walk is scheduled to kick off at 10am and participants will walk from Dugbe to Mokola.
