Ibadan Set To Anchor Gotv Boxing Night 11


Ibadan National and Westa African light welterweight champion Olaije Fijabi elicited great pleasure knowing he would partake in the Gotv boxing night 11 tournament to be hosted in his home town Ibadan.

The boxing match is slated to play live at the hall of Obafemi Awolowo stadium formerly liberty stadium Ibadan come the 26th day of March 2017.

Fijabi “Fijaborn” disclosed on Tuesday in Lagos that he is happy to  have an opportunity to fight in his home town noting that he has Kazeem Ariyo “Iberu” who is the replacement for Sadiq Ahmed to contend with. Reportedly, Fijabi dethroned Ahmed who declined the 2017 contest for personal reasons to become the national champion in 2015.He remarked “whether it is Sadiq Ahmed or Ariyo, I am just happy to fight in my home town. I’m from Ibadan and I intend to make my kinsmen see the best of me. The opponent does not matter. Sadiq is scared after what I did to him, Ariyo will be scared when I finish with him because I’m really motivated by the venue of this fight”.

Akeem Dodo is another Ibadan based boxer and indigene, a lightweight king. Akeem is overwhelmed over the jumbo platform Gotv boxing night 11 is offering him to collide in combat with Kazeem Saka “KC Confidence”. Again, Sadiq Adeleke is yet another Oyo State Capital based contestant to have it hot with Taiwo Kareem in the bantamweight section.

Subsequent combats on the scheduled day shall include three more pairs to complete the agreed number of fights, hence, the prize of one million naira cash and the Mojisola Ogunsanya memorial trophy goes home with the best boxer of the day.
