According to Oladimeji “few minutes after I listened to the 10 o’clock news on the Abuja bomb blast on Channels Television, as I was relaxing on my bed I heard the shout of fire, fire, fire outside with people calling me to come outside. At first, I thought it was one of those distance calling, but when the voice was persistent I quickly ran outside naked because I was already on my bed.
“It was my neighbours who gave me towel to wrap my body. The NNPC firefighters came to our rescue but there is a barrier by the side that restricted their operations. Though nobody died or was injured from the incident but all properties in all the three flats upstairs were burnt without sparing a pin,” he said.
