This evening, Oluyole Girls of Ibadan will lock horns with Port Harcourt, the defending female champions of the Airtel Rising Stars National Championship, at the finals of the third season of the football competition.
The defending champion qualified after beating Kaduna in the first semifinals played yesterday, winning the game by a lone goal; while Oluyole Girls qualified for today’s finals after beating FCT Queens of Abuja, also with a lone goal.
For qualifying for the finals, both teams would represent Nigeria at the inter-country tournament to be held next month.
The Airtel Rising Stars U-17 Tourney which is in its third season, is an initiative of Airtel Africa with the goal of supporting the discovery and development of talented footballers across Africa.
