Work has begun at the site of the collapsed bridge at Ariyo area along Olorunsogo – Amuloko highway. The road which is plied daily by tens of thousands of vehicles is also one of the roads that link Ibadan to Ogun state.
When IBPulse.com visited the site, construction workers were seen at the collapsed bridge with excavator operators clearing the ruins of the collapse.
However, residents expressed concerns about the slow pace of work. According to some of them who spoke to IBPulse.com, it may take up to a year before the project is completed considering the slow pace of work.
Responding, one of the workers at the sight said the team working on the reconstruction project is going to ensure that the work is properly done and the new bridge will be able to stand the test of time.
